UIC made a courtesy visit to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahlam Neamah Lafta, Cultural Counselor, Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur on 10th May 2022.
The purpose of this visit is to have discussion with the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, as part of the regular engagement between UIC and the embassy to increase the number of new international students entering UTeM because since covid-19 there are fewer new international students come to UTeM, especially from Iraq. The visit also gave an opportunity to discuss the ways to enhance the strategic cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq and UTeM with regards to the management of the current and potential Iraqi students in Malaysia.
The visit also provides both parties to have an avenue for a fruitful discussion on future collaborations especially in promoting UTeM as a preferred study destination to the Iraqi.
